The Dome Suite is joined to the small observatory on the east rise. Slide the roof back and the 14-inch Dobsonian is ready on its pier, collimated and cooled to the night air before you arrive.
On your first night a guide spends an hour with you at the eyepiece: how to find things, what to look for, and which objects are best that week. After that the telescope is yours until dawn.
Good for: keen amateurs, anniversaries, anyone who has always wanted to see Saturn’s rings for themselves.
